Non-Surgical Aesthetic Procedures

Measured procedures that need no surgery and respect the anatomy of the face.

Medical aesthetic procedures for the face require no surgery and are planned with a knowledge of facial anatomy. Each procedure is explained on its own page; new pages are added as the list grows.

Which procedures are performed in the clinic?

As well as botulinum toxin (commonly known as botox), fillers and mesotherapy, thread lifts, PRP (for the face, neck and hair), exosomes and liquid facelift are performed in the clinic. Each is explained in detail on its own page; this page gives an overview.

How long do procedures take, and can you return to daily life straight away?

A procedure usually takes about 30 minutes in total — we first numb the area with a strong anaesthetic cream and then carry out the injections. You can return to daily life immediately afterwards; there is no recovery period as there is with surgery.

There are a few simple rules: I ask you to keep the injection sites away from water on the first day. If you have had botulinum toxin, it is important for a few days to avoid exposing the area to heat (sauna, sun, hot showers) and to avoid rubbing or massaging the injected sites — this lets the effect settle evenly and in the right place.

How do you decide between surgery and a medical procedure?

The two are not alternatives to each other — they answer different problems. Medical (non-surgical) procedures are effective for things that change over time and can be corrected reversibly, such as volume loss, fine lines and skin quality. When a structural change is involved (the shape of the nasal bone, a permanent asymmetry), surgery is needed.

Sometimes the two work together: completing a fine detail with filler after surgery, or getting a temporary idea from a non-surgical procedure before making a permanent surgical decision. For a patient considering a chin implant, for example, we can offer a reversible “preview” with filler before any permanent decision — so the patient decides after actually seeing and judging the result. We decide which approach suits you at the consultation, by assessing your expectations and the structure of your face together.

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty

Non-surgical correction of the bridge and tip with filler: who it suits, how long it lasts, what its limits are, and how it compares with rhinoplasty.

Botulinum Toxin

Botulinum toxin for forehead, eye-area and frown lines: how it works, how many days it takes to settle, how long it lasts and who it is not suitable for.

Filler Treatments

Hyaluronic acid fillers for the lips, cheeks and facial contours: who they suit, how long they last and what to watch for afterwards.
