At your first consultation, I listen to your concerns, examine your nose and, if needed, your ears and throat in detail, and we discuss the options that suit you. The aim is not to steer you towards a treatment, but to understand the cause of your problem correctly so that you can make an informed decision.

How to book

You can write to us on WhatsApp, call us, or fill in the appointment form on this website. My assistant will arrange a suitable day and time, confirm your appointment in writing and send you a reminder the day before. Our Instagram account for international patients is @drbirsenerzincan.en.

Before your visit

Bring any previous scans (CT, MRI), hearing tests and medical reports.
Prepare a list of the medicines, nasal sprays and supplements you use regularly.
If you are coming for an aesthetic assessment, it helps to think in advance about what bothers you about your nose.

During the consultation

First, I listen. We talk about when your symptoms started, what makes them worse, which treatments you have tried and what you expect.

Then I perform a detailed ENT examination. Every patient routinely has a nasal endoscopy: a thin camera shows the inside of the nose and the sinus openings, and we watch the images together on screen. Problems such as a deviated septum, enlarged turbinates, polyps or the source of postnasal drip become clearly visible. The examination is short and usually painless.

If an aesthetic assessment is needed, we evaluate together how your nose harmonises with your face. With your consent, I take standardised photographs, which are used only for medical assessment and your records.

After the consultation

At the end of the consultation, I explain the diagnosis, the treatment options and what to expect from each. If surgery is needed, you receive written information about the process, the hospital, the recovery period and the fee. There is no need to rush your decision; you can ask any further questions later.
